Topic (History focus) Victorian era looking at York (local history)

Our Computing objectives for this half term focus on research, therefore as your task this week, we would like you to research Joseph Rowntree, who is very important to York’s local history. You can create a mind map of everything you find out about him: early life & family, job history, chocolate&York, legacy. Take a picture of your mind map for Seesaw/create the mind map on Seesaw and we will explain what to do with the information next week! This will hit a variety of safe research Computing objectives - it is important that safe internet usage is discussed whenever using devices, just like we do at school and that the children feel comfortable reporting any issues they have.

Both classes have also set up a class Blog on Seesaw! When you post to Seesaw you also have the option of uploading your post to the ‘blog’. This will allow other classes from around the world see your hard work. All we ask is just keep the pictures of your faces for our own class private Seesaw accounts, just pictures of work and activities for the blog. A video has been created and uploaded to your class Seesaw explaining how it all works! This will also hit other Computing objectives of communicating sensibly online.
